Applications are being accepted for the AP Integrated Common Entrance Test (APICET-2024) in order to be admitted to first-year MBA and MCA programmes for the 2024–2025 academic year. Only eligible candidates may apply online, and they must pay a registration and processing fee (Rs.650/-for OC candidates, 600/-for BC candidates, and 550/-for SC/ST candidates) by credit/debit card or net banking for online payment. • The A.P. State Legislature created Sri Krishnadevaraya University, Ananthapuramu by passing the Sri Krishnadevaraya University Act No. 36/1981, which transformed the former S.V.U. Autonomous Post-Graduate Centre into a full-fledged university.
• The institution bears the name of King Sri Krishnadevaraya, a notable 16th-century Vijayanagara Empire monarch. The Common A.P. Universities Act No. 4/1991 is now in effect and governs the university. After that, in 1988, the university attained full membership status as an affiliated university. With its headquarters located at Ananthapuramu, Sri Krishnadevaraya University’s jurisdictional authority includes the Ananthapuramu district. The university has forty-three years of academic experience. The university is located 11 km from the Andhra Pradesh city of Ananthapuramu and boasts a vast campus spanning 500 acres of land in rural surroundings.
• Five constituent colleges are housed on the Sri Krishnadevaraya University campus: the College of Arts, the College of Sciences, the College of Engineering and Technology, the College of Pharmaceutical Sciences, and the College of Education. Aside from research studies MPhil leading to Ph.D. degrees, it offers a diverse range of graduate and postgraduate programmes in the faculties of humanities, social sciences, law, commerce, management, physical sciences, life sciences, engineering, and pharmaceutical sciences. While the University College of Sciences offers 19 P.G. programmes through 16 departments, the University College of Arts offers 18 through 13 departments. The University College of Engineering and Technology has three branches for its M.Tech course and five branches for its B.Tech programme. B. Pharmacy is offered at the University College of Pharmaceutical Sciences.
• With 127 associated institutions within its purview, the university offers undergraduate degrees. Of these, 18 offer postgraduate programmes, while 11 offer MBA and MCA programmes. The University comprises two independent colleges: one designated by the UGC as having the potential for excellence and the other one suggested by the Andhra Pradesh government to become a Centre for Excellence.
• At the national and international levels, the university is now known as a centre for academic excellence. The university was ranked in the 150–200 band in the NIRF 2018–19 rankings. It also achieved international recognition by ranking among the BRICS countries in the QS World Rankings, 451–500. The university has received a Gold University Rating from QSI-GAUGE.
